THE REGULARS

No one special. Just living my life day to day as a REGULAR.

I know that I have said it a million and one times that I don’t like talking about politics, but why in the world is there still an MF’in government shutdown? The issue has something to do with Obamacare. How about you, Mr. President and Members of Congress let the American People vote on what type of health care we want. The President and everyone that is a Member of Congress has their own agenda. Instead of composing a crap load of nonsense with what you think the American People want how about you try this and let us as Americans, the REGULARS vote on what we want. We can vote for our own damn president and the individuals in congress, so why can’t we vote on what type of health care we want?

You know why? It’s because they don’t care. If our government was run the way it was meant to be, we would not be in the bad shape we are in at this very moment. There wouldn’t be furloughs, budget cuts, reducing the size of the military and bickering amongst the members of congress because everyone can’t agree on an issue that I think should ultimately be left up to the people who are going to be affected by it. Those people that are supposed to be our leaders were voted in and I think we as American, REGULARS, should be able to vote them out. I know some of you are asking the question, what is that going to fix? That’s a great question, the answer is, it won’t fix anything, but I’m pretty confident in saying that if we as Americans, REGULARS, were able to vote on this issue then we wouldn’t have a government shutdown.

People that are in the positions their in right now, I’m talking about the Members of Congress and our Commander in Chief, said all the right things to be voted in. I say let America vote on what WE want. I briefly scanned over an article on CNN.com about the rates of this “affordable” health care and it is definitely not that. Middle and Lower class Americans are going to be hurting with the deductibles and if you don’t pay for this health care, you will be penalized by the government. They plan on penalizing you by taking a portion or your whole tax refund. How is that helping America? They can use all the big words they want and bicker back and forth about it, but it does nothing for the American People.

When our Commander in Chief was running for president in 2008 he talked about “Change”, I believe that we do need change, but with America in the shape that it is, the maybe we need to “Change” the so-called Leaders that work in Washington, D.C. While there are many civilians that haven’t returned to their government jobs, what are they supposed to do when it’s time for them to pay their mortgage or car payment? I’m sure the company that financed the civilians isn’t going to want to hear, I didn’t get  paid because the government is shutdown. There are some companies and corporations that are looking out for their members by letting your mortgage or car payment be late or they are willing to work with you until our government finally pulls their heads out of their 4th point of contact. It is time for Change and maybe that change needs to start at the top. Of course, every American isn’t going to agree, but I’m sure if we had a chance to vote on what we wanted, the majority would get it right.

I’m not going to continue going on about this whole government shutdown because it is starting to become that pesky little gnat or mosquito buzzing in your ear. Mr. President and Members of Congress we can do better, but its because of you, we are where we are now. As I stated before in a previous post about the government shutdown that for the sake of the civilians that aren’t getting paid, I hope that they will soon agree or agree to disagree and get back to business at hand. There are far more important issues going on in America than shutting down the government for a disagreement about health care. We are still fighting a war on terrorism abroad and we have members of the military paying the ultimate sacrifice, but there has to be a shutdown for health care. That is unacceptable.
